The Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL is one of the most popular convention centers in the United States. It is well situated in the heart of International Drive and there are many hotels, restaurants and entertainment options within walking distance of the convention center.  The convention center is divided into two main exhibit halls, the North/South Building and the West Building.

  • Approximate Size: 2.1 Million SF of exhibition space

  • Loading Docks: 173 Truck Bays

  • In-House Utilities: Electrical, Rigging, AV Services and Plumbing

Some things to keep in mind when planning your trade show exhibit for use at the Orange County Convention Center.

  • Electrical power for exhibits comes from floor ports. You can request a ceiling drop for rotating hanging signs, truss or lighting.

  • Ceilings are painted black, so a contrasting color sign will look best in this exhibit hall. If your sign is already dark colors consider renting some par can lights to illuminate it.

  • There are several “Cat Walks” in the West Building that are above the convention center floor. Generally, you cannot use a hanging sign when your exhibit is located under one of these.

  • When constructing a double deck exhibit make sure to include all stamped structural engineering drawings to the OCCC Fire Marshal. You will also need to make sure your exhibit has up to date fire extinguishers. The Fire Marshal will check!

  • Labor at the Orange County Convention Center is Union.

Overall, the Orange County Convention Center is a first class facility. It is very well kept and up to date with the most modern conveniences such as Wi-Fi and a FedEx Office Business Center on site. You will walk a lot when attending large trade shows as the exhibit halls are very long. When heading to the main hotels such as the Hyatt, Rosen Centre or Hilton there are covered elevated walkways that will make it easy to get around.
